Surgery, planned and explained with care.

Open and endoscopic procedures for stones, obstruction, prostate and selected reconstructive needs, with clear guidance before and after.

When surgery is advised

Surgery is recommended only when it is the best option for you. Medicines and less invasive procedures are considered first wherever they are appropriate.

When an operation is needed, you will know what it involves, what the risks and benefits are, and what recovery looks like. Procedures are performed with the full facilities of Capital International Hospital.

Common questions

Will the risks be explained to me?

Yes. Benefits, risks and alternatives are discussed before you decide, and you are welcome to ask questions or take time to think.

How long will I stay in hospital?

It depends on the procedure and your health. Some are day-care and others need a short stay. You will be told what to expect beforehand.

Can I get a second opinion?

Of course. Bring your reports and we will happily discuss your case, and a second opinion is always reasonable before major surgery.

Urgent warning signs

After surgery, fever, heavy bleeding, severe pain or being unable to pass urine needs urgent review. Please call or go to the emergency department.
